Dr. Reeves was born in DeRidder, Louisiana, and raised in the Dry Creek/Mittie area, where he grew up on his family's beef cattle and watermelon farm. From an early age, he developed a passion for animals while caring for a variety of species, including dogs, cats, cattle, sheep, goats, and chickens.

He earned his bachelor's degree in Biology with a Pre-Medicine concentration from McNeese State University in 2019 before graduating from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2025, where he focused on food animal medicine. His professional interests include mixed animal practice, surgery, theriogenology, and ambulatory/field medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Reeves enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports and video games, swimming, hiking, and taking advantage of any opportunity to be outdoors.
