Dr. Hayes is a native of Rosepine, Louisiana where he grew up with many different animals, including dogs, cats, horses, and cows. He is a graduate of McNeese State University (2001) and the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine (2004.) 

He began his veterinary career as an associate veterinarian at All Creatures Veterinary Hospital in New Iberia, Louisiana, from the time he graduated in 2004 until 2012.  While there, he performed routine and advanced veterinary procedures on large, small, and exotic animals. 

Dr. Hayes moved back to Rosepine and purchased Entrance Road Veterinary Clinic in 2012 and then opened Hayes Veterinary Hospital in DeRidder in 2018. 

He has three active boys, two dogs, Badger the Catahoula Curr and Pearl the Chinese Crested, three cats, a duck, and a few horses.  Dr. Hayes enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking, and playing ball with his boys.
