Grooming

Regular grooming is essential to the maintenance of your pet's health. Keep your pet smelling and looking attractive, prevent parasites, and skin irritations.

Overview

While grooming should be done on a consistent basis, the frequency to which your pet needs to be groomed will depend somewhat on daily routines, coat type, age and general health.

In addition, your pet will benefit from regular brushing to remove any loose hairs and dead skin cells, to rid the coat of debris and external parasites, and to disseminate skin oils that form along the hair shafts.

Due to the thorough nature of a grooming appointment, our grooming team can sometimes discover potential medical concerns like lumps and bumps, parasites, and more. Luckily, with a veterinarian on staff, we’re able to tend to any medical problems, after discussing the problem with you.

Gentle Care for Anxious Pets

We understand that pets can be a little nervous at grooming appointments, especially if it’s their first one. Our professional groomer has over 20 years of experience and is highly skilled at helping pets feel comfortable and safe. While we aim to complete all the services you’ve requested, an overly anxious pet can make this difficult.

For the safety and well-being of your pet, we will not force any service on them with which they are uncomfortable. With your permission, however, one of our veterinarians can administer sedatives for pets who are having a hard time relaxing at their grooming visit.

Additionally, we can prescribe anti-anxiety medications for their next visit!
