Boarding

No matter where you’re going, or where you’re coming from, rest assured that our priority is keeping your furry friend happy, healthy and safe.

Overview

Convenient location, specialized care, and a well-trained, compassionate staff make us the top choice among pet owners. We treat every pet as if they were our very own family pet, and strive to make their stay with us as comfortable and fun-filled as possible. We hope that they will think of our pet boarding facility as a home away from home. We will go the extra mile to ensure that all your pet’s needs are met during their stay with us. You can specify their individual needs for services such as, medications, grooming, a bath, or even a medical procedure, and we will make sure it happens. Whether your pet is here for a day of pampering, as an overnight guest, or for a medical procedure, we keep our facility climate controlled to ensure your pet feels relaxed and comfortable.

Why should I board my pet?

If you are planning to travel overnight for days, weeks, or even a few months, consider boarding your pet during your trip. Your mind will be at peace knowing that your pet is being taken care of in a safe and secure environment.

What to Expect During a Cat or Dog Boarding Stay

When you bring your cat or dog to board at our animal hospital in Leesville, LA, you can expect your pet to be treated with the utmost compassion and kindness during their stay. We make every effort to help them feel right at home.

During your pet’s stay, they will receive:

  • Roomy kennels for dogs

  • Cozy, yet spacious kennels for cats

  • Fresh water and food*

  • Regularly-cleaned bedding

  • Potty breaks for dogs

  • Individual playtime (outdoor area for dogs, indoor for cats)

  • Medication administration (if needed)

*While we can provide food for your pet during their stay, we recommend bringing their regular diet with you. Being in an unfamiliar environment can cause stomach upset, and keeping them on their regular food from home can help minimize any discomfort.

Boarding for Exotic Pets

Birds, small mammals, and reptiles are all welcome to stay with us, space permitting. For these animals, their environment plays a huge role in their health and well-being, which is why it’s important to bring their enclosure with you.

It’s also essential to bring their food with them, as we do not always have the food needed for each and every species. Our staff and veterinarians at Entrance Road Veterinary Clinic are well-versed in exotic pet care, and will be able to care for all of your pet’s unique needs.

Should you have any questions about their stay, don’t hesitate to contact us at (337) 537-2454.

Boarding Requirements

For the safety and health of all our guests, we have several requirements your pet needs to meet before they are allowed to board with us.

These include:

  • Current on vaccinations including rabies, DHPP, Bordetella for dogs and rabies and FVRCP for cats

  • Parasite-free

  • Negative fecal exam within 12 months of their stay

If your pet is not up to date in their vaccinations, or we find fleas or other parasites on them, we will administer the necessary vaccines and parasite control products at an additional cost to you.
